We used to use groupspaces which had this feature and people loved it. People don't like having to log in to confirm esp. as most of them get the email on their phone.17 votes

First of the concept of your website is absolutely great, awesome idea.
When I came to use it, however, the design of the site looks-wise is just a bit of an eyesore with the google ads in the header and the blurry background images.
Probably just me being picky to be honest, but that's my suggestion to bring the design up to date.

I’d love to do a redesign, however time constraints make it very difficult to do so.
I’m not saying it’s a no, just that I can offer more elsewhere on the site with the time I have available.
There are often times when i would like to update the whole squad about specific topics not related to a scheduled game.
This could be related to a finance report being posted or something to do with the running of the event in general.
There currently does not appear to be a way to do that.7 votes
At some point I do intend to revisit how communications work on the site.
Until then if you visit “my squads” → “your squad” screen you’ll find an “export squad” button.
This will export all the e-mail addresses of your squad so you can e-mail them through your normal e-mail system. Not ideal, but a valid workaround.
Allow players to be categorised as members or non-members. For each event specify the number of days before the event that each player type is allowed to sign up. This gives members priority over each game, lets non-members play, whilst keeping the total number of players below a given threshold.7 votes
A bit like when you were at school, but online.
Each team has a "captain" and they take it in turns to select players for their team.6 votes
You should be able to access e-mail addresses for game organizers. That way if you want to ask them a question it is easy to do (e.g. today where I am happy to drop out to make teams level but want to confirm before I do it!)

Allow a manager to configure players to be on a particular side by default.
This way if you always use the same sides you won't have to allocate team yourself. Or at least you'll have a good starting point for your sides.1 vote

I think there’s other features that are more pressing.
Add a random team button on Match teams page to randomise the team selection.1 vote

When you are on your squad or availability page and you click on a players name, you should be taken to their profile page where it shows how many games they've featured in, how many times they've been on the winning vs losing side, how many goals they have scored etc as well as the rating system.1 vote
Excellent idea! Would you believe me if I said it was on the roadmap for the re-write, if I ever get the energy to re-write it!
